During my little sound wave talk a few weeks ago someone asked if you can actually see a square wave being constructed from sine waves. I have found a web site that has an animation of a square wave and a sawtooth wave being constructed from sine waves using the Fourier Transform process.
This is a fairly extensive tutorial on trig functions. The link will take you directly to section 8.5 labeled Periodic functions where you will find the animation of a square wave and a sawtooth wave being constructed from sine waves.
